Just an update. It seems whenever I level on my Beshaban cleric the amulet is replaced, and reverts back to its beginning form.

One of the problems with mine is I lost the chance to convert due to the amulet reverting. I'd earned a chance to convert someone but didn't have someone to use it on as yet, the next day I died, and then leveled back to 6 again. When I leveled I saw the message about the amulet leaving my inventory and a new one arriving. When I looked at it the amulet was in it's beginning form and the chance to convert someone was lost. Since then, despite collecting several more prayers, the amulet seems to be precisely the same, and each time I level the amulet is replaced in my inventory once more.

I didn't use it to try to convert anyone. It reverted back to base form when I leveled from 5 to 6.

Mine also got reset, for Beshaba. Happened just when I earned a conversion and leveled to 6. The holy symbol then became the default one granted on creation.
