After a 5+ month binge on EFU, taking a week or so to play the hell out of some Divinity: Original Sin. Reachable by IRC if you need me for some reason, otherwise I'll be back mid to late next week.

Aemiliie will really miss Fro once she finally figures out what happened. (If she ever does!) The hin in her life were pretty slippery folk that she didn't entirely understand, and Fro was no exception, but she was really fond of him nonetheless!

Rangers can use divinely-crafted Magic Weapon wands. Always having the tool for the job is sort of the shtick of the prepared Hunter of [insert critter here].

Well played, man. There were a couple times I ran into Finn on my PC, and both times he was embroiled in cool conflict and was just innocent-acting enough to scamper off before the shit hit the fan.

Good luck on your next one!

Running in populated areas in general seems like bad form, but I was guilty of running the Sacred Cave quest a few times on my previous character, before he really settled in to Upper.

It was actually pretty neat, because one time, I ran into some pretty sketchy folks in the Cave who were also there for the quest, and it turned into some really cool RP that made my character never, ever want to go to Lower again.

Edit: ^^ To my knowledge, that already (kind of) exists in the system, where 'master' alchemists are encouraged to have less capable alchemists around to complete easier parts of the crafting process to spread cooldowns and such around. It's not a requirement (as far as I know) but it is very beneficial.

EFU's crafting systems are already incredibly complex and only appealing to a certain percentage of the playerbase because of that. Making the entry cost even steeper by randomizing recipes seems what it will best accomplish is to disincentive playing an alchemist. Metagaming recipies is bad, but learning under the tutelage of an established alchemist could be really fun and great rp.

Forcing random experimentation for every PC (not just those that choose to learn by themselves) with a system that can easily perm your character seems overly harsh. But maybe that's just me!

Going to come down with RwG on this one. If you get in the situation where someone might mutilate your PC, giving them lip or otherwise provoking them isn't going to help. You can only expect people to bend what's IC so far in the name of everyone having a good time, and keeping the cool conflict times a-rollin'.

People shouldn't be hacking bits off willy-nilly, but all pvp is really a two-way street.

Red Knight isn't Silent, is she? She's got Nobility.

Quote from: Vlaid;390979It sounds like this QA may not reward much in any category compared to much safer, more spammed quests. However, perhaps a single run is not a good test of the loot table?

To be as vague as possible, I know even some of the more 'spammed' quests have infrequent drops that are significantly better than the other stuff that drops, so maybe that's the case here!

Bug Reports / Temple of Ilmater
June 18, 2014, 06:34:44 AM
Hello!

I entered the Temple of Ilmater after tonight's reset, and I can't seem to leave! When using the exit transition, instead of entering a loading screen and appearing out on Spellbeggar Lane, I'm instead moved to the other door inside the Temple, the one by the altar.

The lever by the exit door that is supposed to control the locking mechanism for that door now also appears to control the locking mechanisms for both doors.

Sorry if this report is in error, I tried everything I could think of to the same result.

Bug Reports / Sage of the Grey Mist Raiders
May 12, 2014, 04:24:11 PM
((Oops, typo in the thread title! Saga* ))

Hello. My PC's name is Colborn, and he is a Skald-perk Bard. I was under the impression that the Saga of the Grey Mist Raiders was supposed to give cold damage to your own weapon and the weapons of your allies when you sing it, but it instead appears to be giving Magical damage.

Here's a screenie, taken shortly after logging in. The character is level 5, is using a basic no-properties Falchion, and had no other effects on him other than the Bard Song.
