On the plus side, I didn't live long enough to have my gut burst with alien babies. ;P

It's fine. Honestly, I understand the server and setting and such. I'm not ranting about all the unfair circumstances that happened to my PC. I mean heck, he's evil, it's /suppose/ to be unfair for him. I'm just saying It would be nice to have more RP and less PvP on my next character. :P

Edit: P.S. You monsters killed all of Xanian's friends! *Sniff sniff.*

I can understand that, but that's what the negative to movement speed, spell failure chance, lowered dex, and becoming flat-footed are all suppose to represent. Just because I get my feet tangled up in spider webs doesn't mean I'm going to drop my shield or stop swinging my sword at the spider who's right in front of me trying to kill me. If this was the case LOTR would have had a sad ending. :c

I can see this being a valid point.
On the other hand, I can see not sitting there and subduing/blackouting someone for 25 rounds until their spells dissipate being a valid counter point.

Ah, that would explain a lot. I'll keep that in mind for any future items I find. Thanks. =)

I just tested Heart Clutch in game on the player OniMisho. The spell worked exactly as intended as to the changes. It may indeed be the target of the spell that is causing the bug, and not the spell itself.

The main bug is, it auto ends the spell even if the target fails the fort save, if the caster is standing still and doesn't do anything. I can't think of a way to show you outside of capturing a video or testing it with my character in game. When I get on sometime I'll try and get a hold of a DM. They can possibly explain it better if they see it first hand.

I've been testing mainly on the bandits found in the in-between, and some goblins out near the first zone outside the area up the stairs from upper Sanctuary. When I cast heart clutch on the target the spell goes off and the bandit makes a fort save vs evil. When he fails I deal the first round damage of 1d3. I've never rolled higher but I'm under the assumption this is the correct amount of damage for just the first round. I get the yellow text that says "You are now crushing targets heart. You must maintain concentration to continue the spell." On the second round it rolls the save again. On a failure 1d3 damage is dealt once more. On a succeed the entire spell is negated. Regardless, the spell auto ends itself. The yellow text that says "You break your concentration!" appears before the second fort save is rolled. I have made sure to literally do nothing but move my cursor on my screen during this time. During this entire time, upon casting the spell on the first round a flashing "Spell failure" icon appears on my current statuses right beside my portrait. Restrictions on the spell and feats effecting it like SF look to be working correctly.

Edit: My character is a cleric.

Hmm, something's not quite adding up here. I just tested it again, damage is still in the 1d3 range, and I see what Zango mentioned earlier. The spell stops itself after the first round more often than not, regardless if you do anything or not. Your concentration auto breaks. We can test it out some more, but I think the rest of this should be moved over to the bug reports thread.

Edit: Damage may be working correctly, My rolls may have been minimal. Concentration not working correctly is confirmed however.

Hello there. Maybe I can try to shed some light on Oni's problem. The game has installed fine, and he can go through it just as well, he is using NwN Diamond.
He can enter the game, go to multiplayer, and try to connect online. However, once he gets to this part a notification pops up and says "This is a new version of NWN. Would you like to update now? Yes/no." clicking on no keeps him from proceeding further, and clicking yes simply closes the game and does nothing else. I'm assuming what he needs is the critical rebuild patch, but I'm not entirely sure.

What update does he need if any, where can he locate it, and how can he install it through wine on his linux ubuntu system?

Edit: More importantly, he is trying to connect and play on this specific server more so than connect to the non-existent NWN server database.
