Cheers Verk, I enjoyed butting heads.  EFU leadership positions are hard, perceived obligation can turn them into work rather than play.  Hope you come back refreshed.

A different perspective on your fourth screenshot, Rose:

I was wondering what evil you were up to.  Voyeurism for the win.

Big fan of accents here, I even kind of like the accents that are nigh-impossible to understand - I treat those PCs accordingly.  Scottish dwarves, Norse dwarves, Cockney halflings, Russky-accented evil-doers, all good fun in my book.  Despite this, there are times when I think an accent is done poorly - there's no solid reason, just personal opinion.  I see them as contributing much more than they detract in the bigger picture.

If somebody emotes a description of their accent, I'm likely to forget about it, but their attempt at an accent constantly adds a lot to their flavor in my head and paints a unique picture.

Literary dialect is a valid literary device.  We might as well use it and enjoy it.

I think this is my favorite Elven PC in my 2.5 year history with EFU.  His coldness towards humans in general was refreshing, and he actually came across as aloof, as someone who's lifespan stretched across centuries might be.  I'm sad to see him go, he was my best link to a world outside of isolation - I could always somehow manage to run into him somewhere in the module.

Bravo, Fishingpenguin.  Wish I could have been there for Jaheel's end.  I hope you have another PC lined up.

I'm sorry Bonhomie, I hope the treatment bears fruit.

I won't say that I know what you're going through as I haven't had somebody close to me attempt suicide, but I know to a lesser extent what your brother is going through.   I had what I considered to be a fairly severe depression about 6 years back - it runs in my mom's side of the family, many of them are on meds.  I was prescribed some meds that I took for a few months, but I think what really got me back on track was lessening alcohol intake (temporarily), and getting into some semblance of shape (I was slightly overweight, I think my weight was causing poor sleep, waking up choking etc, and the poor sleep was contributing to depression).  I'm feeling much better these days.

My best wishes for your brother - I hope he is able to find a way to overcome this.

I agree with Lado 100%.  It's a pain in the ass to have to reorganize your pack after someone yanks it.  EFU is about RP, not about fucking people over as hard as you can just so you can have more awesome supplies on your PC.

Sure if you know the mob is hot on your tail, BO the person and change locations or yank the pack.  But if you are in a situation in which you're in control, it's always nice to have some courtesy for the other players and try to make their defeat as pleasant for them as possible.  However, if the player starts being an uncooperative asshat, smack them and yank_pack. Hell, FD them if they won't stop talking shit as they're face-down on the ground at your mercy.

Just my $0.02.  If player experience is generally negative, population will shrink.   Try to make sure the other person has as good a time as possible under the circumstances.  I know different people have different pet peeves (I had a player go on a wild tirade because I BO'ed him one time as a Watcher in order to move things along), but the golden rule is maybe a good standard to have.
