You're getting a feat basically for free, I think it's pretty good!

Any DM input on this maybe, if it's in any way desirable to WnW people to get paid even if they don't wear the tunic piece of the armor?

Could it be possible to tie the wage to any piece of the faction armor, like helmet or cloak, not just the armor?  Some people wear different armor (dyed to faction colors) and there is also no faction armor variant for 5/2 and an upgraded 4/4 (like the permanent favor armors).

They don't.  You could put that you worship the mud.  The thing is the script checks for dead gods.  If you do put a 'dead' god in the field you will get spell failure.  This is true even for druids and rangers.

I agree with this in the form of more variants.  Maybe add some of the overcoat model on some drop forms of leather and chain armor?  Would be nice to see!
