Bug Reports / Old/ Outdated Items List
September 24, 2019, 03:12:59 AM
I've seen a few items that reference the Dread Empire, Darkening, etc...

Most of them are Relics.  Posting them here as I find them.

Suggestions / Re: Sorcerer Spells

I love the idea of elemental bloodlines that could potentially give:

  • Increased damage/ effectiveness of certain elemental spells
  • Access to unique summoning themes
  • Maybe some unique powers

Kind of like the Primordial Druid kit.

A small bump for this.  Now is an excellent time to consider getting involved.

Duncan was cool, KOP.  Really enjoyed where you were taking the Arbiters.

Would be cool, but it's a very strong spell on an already strong class.  Style-wise its great, but I'm not sure its very balanced.

I wanted to make a posting outlining a relatively new aspect of the Arbiters of the Hundred Scrolls faction: The Novitiate.

QuoteThe Arbiters of the Hundred Scrolls are the indomitable enforcers of a complex tradition of laws written upon sacred scrolls. The Arbiters believe that they are judge, jury, and executioner. They are custodians of the law and mediators of disputes, carrying on a tradition as ancient as the City itself. Rumours brand the Arbiters both as irksome vigilantes who cause more trouble than they cure, and indispensable champions who strike fear into the hearts of the wicked. In the philosophy of the Arbiters, they are all that stand between the City and total chaos.

Ranking Arbiters are called Monitors, and the Arbiters are ultimately led by a secretive assembly known as the Synod.

Quote from: Faction Requirements
Application: Required. The Arbiters are an elite faction.
Recommended Alignment: Non-Chaotic
Recommended Class: Non-Druid, Non-Wizard
Recommended Race: Non-Monstrous

QuoteThe Novitiates are the squires, laymen, engineers, and auxiliary forces of the Arbiters.  For many Novitiates, their end goal is to one day uphold the Sacred Hundred Scrolls as an Arbiter, though it is not uncommon for one to embrace their role as an ancillary force for life.

Example roles for Novitiates:
+Demon/ Devil Hunter: A warrior with a particular talent against the beings of the Lower Planes who wishes to fully embrace a life of war against such creatures.

+Archaeologist: An enterprising student wishing to uncover the mysteries of the Cube...

+Craftsman: A foreman desiring to build fortifications, runes, and other defenses against the dangers of the Rift.

+Planar Binder: A planar bound sorcerer who has learned to harness their blood borne power to trap and enslave extra-planar beings in their pursuit of Arbitration.

Please feel free to contact any of the player Arbiters to discuss concepts, or to quickly get involved in the many, many things currently going on with the faction.

I may be the outlier here, but I appreciate death magic.  I actually think it balances the game a bit.  There are certainly ways to defend against it, but it forces you to sacrifice other benefits; like taking rogue levels for sneak attack.

I can certainly see the annoyance from a random bandit casting PhK, or something; especially if they don't drop something good....

This seems like it should be fundamental to a dex fighter concept.

I love the idea of a dialogue box.

Suggestions / Re: Sending system price change: feedback

Keep the sending system as it is now.  It's such a breath of fresh air.  Sendings, as they were, were a crutch that far too many people relied on.
