Shock and Awe.

Only two words of many to describe the reccent sweeping of rumor and Gossip.

The black and white clad villain who worked for the infamous "Upright man",not only claimed the life of Prior Blake allegedly as well as the freeing of the 900 Brother's general, numerous slayings, and countless other criminal activities...

...was Patrician Aubrey Craddock.

Bewildered and terrified men and women who frequented the Docks, angered and betrayed armsmen of Sharboneth, disgruntled and volitile Stygians.

Yet another in the long history of two-faced criminals posing as caring Patricians, none had the brutal efficiency that Craddock

it is commonly believed that things in the underworld are about to get very, very bloody, as a "New Puppet" of the Uprightman will struggle to emerge...

Time will only tell when this will occur but rumor has it that another ruby has been seen recently arriving within the Colony.

For what purpose remains to be seen...

Rumours spread regarding  attacks on travelling merchants and other persons of wealth in Ymph. Slave owners in particular have been captured and executed in a horrific manner while the slaves have been released and told tales of a bearded man leading the vicious ambushes.

That bearded man is widely believed to be the escaped convict and former pirate Xisco, who orchestrated a violent escape from the Old Port penitentiary some months back, a day before his planned execution.

Given the sheer amount of Citizens present, word spreads rampantly

Fires, Rots, and Loose Women.

In an "allegedly" attempted assassination, a Rot Cultist attempted to slay the Courtier Proverson. Thwarted by an Armsman and Stygian the Rot Cultist proceeded to erupt into flame after vines spewed from her corpse.

In the ensuing chaos the Proverson Merchanthouse burned, the Man himself panicking and running through the streets some dock workers say, sounding like a woman in distress, proclaiming "Free Coin!" to any who would aid. It stands still, though damage estimates are still unsure. Thankfully many Dockworkers and citizens threw their aid to the troubled Courtier, keeping the Flames from spreading to other buildings.

Shortly after the flames subsided the Courtier informed those who aided to make for the Kingsman for an announcement of sorts. Business had never been better. Ale flowing relentlsesly and wine by the barrel brought up to satiate the thirsting Dockfolk.

It appears the Rot Cultist had -worked- for kingsman. When the Courtier announced this ale spewed forth from every single man and woman, some inducing vomiting. Shortly thereafter a small riot appear to break out, numerous Armsmen having to subdue them from hanging the Kingsman and Courtier.

The tone of the room slowly changed from that of rage to optimism, the Lingusitic skills that earned him a Courtier's seat turning it into an impromtu discussion of the Morrow's "War".

It is unsure what fate will befall the Kingsman, nor is it clear the extent of how bad his business will be damaged.

Elsewhere, Stephan "The Wyvernslayer" Baden, the local hero of the Ziggurat was publicly pursued by four to ten young, nubile girls, depending on who is asked. It is said he is expected to take field and assist the Order in their crusade and when he made sending to rally allies he was besieged by another kind of "Army".

Some say he got a heroes reward.

Others...A Hero's goodbye.

Needless to say the Colony is on edge. Tomorrow is a day that none will forget...Should they survive.

The Numinous Order: Shattered

The Court: Down two members

The Magistrates: Slaughtered

The "Impi": Scattered

The Rot: Stronger than ever despite the Bogs being burned to near ash

It is said that Dakarai, "Destroyer of Men", claimed at least ten lives of prominent figures, ranging from the heroic "Wyvernslayer" Baden to Dame Kassarack herself. Scattered murmurs echo far and wide that despite the Dreamstalkers menacing presence he is the true power of the Impi.

The Webbed wood lays littered with corpses both of Order and Adventurer.

The Order succeeded in its objective to bring flame to the Bog but it appears to have been a grand trap as the very few, perhaps even three, survivors of the massacre saying that their retreat was cut off in a trap.

The Rot Herald has once more been slain, Berimund and Helder alike leaving many strong warriors on edge. Two men of grand strength taken under the sway. Warriors and Sellswords alike grow fearful that they may next be taken for their prowess, Dueling amongst the ziggurat at an all time low.

It is said that the Order fractured. Kassarack and her men disobeying the "Cause" and taking up the charge themselves, resulting in them having may fifty men while the rest of the Order cleared itself from the Zigurrat.

The Cloister has no remnants of existence. The Temple district a bit quieter. The dark a bit darker.  It is said the Mountains shall hold the Refuge of the Numinous Order as the days of past. Up in the Mist where they thrive, Hunting the Orcs and pursuing rumors of the Iron Jaw's presence.

As the colony mourns the loss, word spreads that massive investigations are upon the horizon by the Armsmen and Retainers of House Sharboneth. It seems not even in death do the heroes and citizens of the Ziggurat find peace.

A bit of a commotion is caused at the crack of dawn as a wagon unloaded a statue of a man named Xisco next to the main gates of the Ziggurat. Armsmen of House Sharboneth rushed to the scene while the man responsible for this deed captivated the crowd and particularly the commons, not so much by his words, but by showering the attendance with gold, said to have come from vanquished slavers and oppressors as a gift from Xisco.

This was not to last, however, as the crowd dispersed at the sight of some dark clad men and the armsmen arrested the crier responsible for the mischief. The statue now lies toppled over.

A rambunctious and trouble making Sergeant by the name of Rawlins was shackled and dragged bloody to the Courthouse.

As dozens of charges were being leveed and a parade of witnesses showed up, things were quickly disrupted by the arrival of one of the Count's own, a Ruby.

After a few short, but harsh words were traded, the Sergeant was released.

A short time later a pair of Rubies were seen marching on the Governor's tower.

QuoteWord quickly spreads of a controversy between the Stygian Armada and house of Sharboneth brewing. It is said that the problem stems from the Saughin presence amongst the colony, ranging from idle threats to hands being eaten

QuoteThe Seekers once more spew upon the gossip of the colony, reportedly ransacking the Hallway of hope. The priest being bludgeoned unconscious and the heroic knight-esque Baron von Matterheim of the once Underdark run through. He was in high spirits upon his unaturally swift recovery, stating "I never did trust those seekers. This is a lovely place for a nap, however"

Late in the evening, a resonating bellow was heard from the top of the Ziggurat.

"THE OLD PRINCE IS NO FISH!"

Moments later it was followed by the following:

Quote"BY THE NINE! HIS ARM IS GONE!"

"GODS HELP US! HIS HEAD IS REMOVED!"

"STOP THIS MADNESS!"

With news of the recent conflict between the Stygian division of Shark-men and the house of Sharboneth, the monsterous and menacing Inquisitor Shark'all of Sekah began a blood tear through the colony. It is noted that the Old Prince was not attacked first but tookinsults upon his honor as an act of War and began tearing through anything that seemed to look at him wrongly.

Amidst the carnage of dozens of Sharboneth Deputies being hurled about like rag dolls, Various dwarves being literally eaten hand over fist, and vicious maulings of faces being peeled by his teeth, the Old Prince himself was seen upon the Ziggurat.

As the conflict ceased the Prince continued to demand the identiy of those who attacked his men, as well as those who "Continue to insult the Shark".

A distressed courtier Proverson with an Arsmman escort was seen making for the Governor's Tower for the second time, the first after the Grand Larson Burkden marched upon the Citadel.

Needless to say, things between the House of Sharboneth and the Stygian Armada have gone from ambivalent to near catastrophic in a mater of a day or shortly over. Few can tell what shall come next...

Terror. The only word to describe the events that unfolded last eve. A slow and steady stream of reports had been coming for some time to the Stygians and house of Sharboneth about the actions of the Werebeast Cruloch.

The evening began with word quickly reaching the gates of a group of adventurers downed in the foothill path, and shortly after all hell broke loose.

Men, both Sharboneth and Stygian, along with literally dozens of adventurers took to the gates and surrounding areas in a drastic and dramatic hunt of the Beast. As the howls of war descended upon the ziggurat individuals were splayed about grievously. In the name of the Beastlord the blood flowed, and the Pard was pleased.

As the night wore on the Beasts tactics reflected his desires. He began with maimings and woundings to draw out the pack, and then began to slay them  one, by one, by one.

After one of his human allies was killed, and one of them tried and executed, his tactics further became barbaric going so far as to attack the gates themselves only to retreat and pick off those brave, foolish souls seeking glory.

By eve's end as the sun rose over the horizon the beast lay dead, his skin missing, and his corpse piked upon the gates.

In the horizon of the Docks, a naval battle is seen to unfold. A ship bearing Old Port's flag took chase after a pirate vessel that is thought to belong to the notorious Red Titans led by an Argenti desert man. Soon after the Old Port Destroyer began to fire its explosive ballistas, it was inexplicably silenced. Soon thereafter, the Old Port Destroyer went down in flames.

Two survivors swum to the beaches of the Docks, and rescued by adventurers from the Ziggurat. They then made their way to the Governor's Tower, and were overheard speaking of an inhumanly strong, masked swordsman in ancient armour that jumped across ships and turned the tide of battle.

Rumor has it that the elders of the local Stargazer Tribes have made a declaration of emergency. Atop their treetop villages, Stargazers are seen preparing equipment and people, as if they were expecting imminent battle. Every night, Stargazers are caught watching the stars with great vigilance.

Mort

An invasion most dire hit the colony on this night. Nightrisers pouring from the sewer and enhanced by the very fury that possessed them to attack killed a great many guards and adventurers.

More concerning were the words of an undead cavalier who appeared before and after the battle claiming a greater onslaught upon the city upon a day without sunlight that was approaching if his conditions were not met... What the conditions were? The rumours spread across the citizenry are vague and imprecise on that account...

Martel Sharboneth, Chief Retainer of the House Sharboneth is said to have arisen upon the Isle.

After being escorted to the Governor's tower and word being spread he had an announcement, an irate Burkden arrived speaking oddly cordial with the man, despite recent rumors of Stygian/Sharboneth conflict.

He spoke of the economic Hardships befalling the House, but also a call for Adventurers and others to seek to empower the House. Exploration and various ventures into the Wilds. The rare peace has turned the Colony inward, and he appeared to be present upon the isle to press it outwards, offering wealth, prestige, as well as posts within the house as a Retainer. Awkward glances were thrown about as he spoke of possible enslavement of the Stagazers, of the Tribals that fled with Gaeseric, and others who "Refuse to contribute to civilized life" as the House of Sharboneth expanded outwards with the assistance of the Stygian armada.

Most well received however, was his word that in two days time, the Court of the Governor will be brought into its Third Session.

Local jungle cats appear to be restless, and have even been reported to have made hostile advances against their allies, the Stargazers. It is said that Stargazer Elder Otoroo's pet jungle cat has run away from Starwood, after leaving bloody scars on the elder's chest.
