Political conflict continues to be spurned onward. The Stygians and House Sharboneth had yet another arms-drawn-threats-tossed meeting, this time upon the edge of the stairs of the docks district.

Stories are numerous and varied but for the most part it seems that a Patrician was taken captive by a pair of Stygians and in the negotiation for his return, the Stygians were suspended of their court seat in the upcoming Third Court.

This time the Governor himself was involved in negotiation and upon departure the Grand Larson was heard spewing curses and threats of Count involvement, nearly knocking his own men down the stairs as he stormed to the barracks.

Tension continues to mount and tempers run high.

With the commencement of the hunting season, a great hunt is held in honour of the murdered Sharboneth retainer Faubert. The hunt is overshadowed by political events, but a giant bear released in the wilds is slain at the gates by a contingent of armsmen.

Hunters from Old Port and beyond are seen arriving at the Ziggurat, ready to pluck Ymph's unique and challenging fauna.

The colonists of Ymph take note that a red star can now be seen among the galaxies of the night sky. For every few hours that pass, the star appears to become brighter. By now, it clearly has become the most luminescent object in the night sky. Some colonists have begun to call it the Eye of the Devil, or interpret this as a sign of the apocalypse.

On this day, the bright red star in the sky came streaming down to Earth in form of meteorite. It landed near Starwood, forming a large crater that has charred the Earth around it. Stargazers and colonists alike ran to the scene, to find one distinct detail in the wreckage. At the vertex of the crater rests a circle of undying flame. Both Stargazers and Colonists have been alarmed by these turn of events, and many theories arise at the local taverns. Among these rumors, the most popular is one that claims a demon has landed on Ymph. Some adventurers have even claimed to have defeated it in combat.

A vessel can be seen moored off the docks.

Not the largest vessel ever seen, nor the most attractive, but it looks to be well maintained given age and rather sturdy. Any expert of nautical business would note that its design and make are built for sea speed. A raiding vessel.

Rumor has it that it is an old pirate vessel purchased for an old Fishing captain that was said to even outrun the Stygian war ships, then won by Isengrim Sharboneth in a card game.

Travelers leaving the Main Gate are advised to be alert. Word has it that kidnappings on the roads, notably in the Webbed Woods area, has increased significantly. A local gypsy camp has reported many attempts at individuals kidnapping their children, some of which were successful. Hunters have reported that they too were kidnapped, but escaped with the aid of adventurers.

The tropical peace of early morning was startlingly shattered by a awesome cry echoing from high up in the Mountains of Mist. The booming shouts continued for some minutes. Some would say great anger filled those outbursts, others declare they were burdened with sorrow. A group of rangers told later at the Kingsman that they saw two or three avalanches of stone barrel down the Northern Cliffs, and plan to ply their crafts in other parts of the isle for a time.

Shortly after the appearance of a great mist upon the gates and a lone woman wandering within it is said she was turn to stone. As numerous appeared to gawk the statue itself began to spurt blood.

The mists swirled and vanished into her person and into a stone that appeared from the mists itself. The Dreamers appear to be guarded and distant. Yet some of them elated and ecstatic. Words are kept quiet and many of their books have been pulled from their shelves.

Few know what occurred within those mists...

Terror grips the Ziggurat.

In a speech of unity and alliance between the Sharboneth and Stygians in the pursuit of Tribals and Seekers who often cause trouble amongst the colony and whom he blamed for the recent conflicts between the organizations, Courtier Proverson was struck by a single bolt to the chest- Petrified.

In the chaos that ensued a second bolt struck shrouding the region in darkness as the mob of citizens that came to see him speak scattered. When the dust settled and the mob had dispersed his statue shattered.

Short time there after the alleged "Perch" from which the assassin struck was detonated. A pair of Stygians seen fleeing from it seconds before.

Courtier Proverson, while not the most popular of courtiers amongst the Adventurers had a stern grip on the favor of the Patricians for his various dealings. It is not known what fate will befall his merchant house or his vast fortune.

With the number of present courtiers down to Three, speculation spreads that the Stygians may very well regain their court seat. Patrols continue in search of the assasin but to little avail.

This evening a large fire raged southeast of the Webbed Wood. There, adventurers report they found an abandoned camp that was once inhabited by hunters. However, there were no reports on where the hunters went. Very few dead and little blood was found.

Some say this is somehow linked to the recent kidnappings in the Webbed Wood area.

Adventurers battling or spying upon the nightrisers can at times hear them speak odd things about the reawakening of the Syndri Larenius...

...Whatever this may mean to the average men or women. Little is known outside from this.

On a similar trend, people travelling into the ruins below have started to noticed, in the past week, red crystal being stockpilled in various corridors with increased activity from the militaristic Nightrisers...

(Belated Gossips)

A few nights ago, screams and the sounds of battle interrupted the otherwise peaceful slumber of the Colony. Nightrisers pouring through portals waged an unceasing assault upon the Ziggurat. Amongst their numbers was a tremendously intimidating Nightriser wearing a blood red armour and a ferocious scythe glittering with malice.

The battle raged until the creature vanished from thin air as its wounds were becoming too grave. The great warrior, Marcel Rolthor, engaged in mortal combat with it at this time could be seen about thrashing about afterward cursing the monster's cowardice.

Other notable figures were a pack of Garagosians who were seen laughing and crushing the undead splattering blood (their own) as well as bone fragments as they ruthlessly engaged in the slaughter of the bone warriors...

(Belated Gossip)

Starwood burns! A thick smoke coming out from the woods can be seen far from the colony of the afternoon before the Invasion. A group of fearsome Stygian Mercenaries came back to the Colony with a few natives in tow and their blood covering their respective cuirass.

Little is known of the battle, itself, aside from the bloodied state that the woods seem to be in.

Those visiting the starwoods can see the stargazers engaged in mourning of their warriors and organizing rituals to eat their own so that their spirit always be with the tribe...

Prophets, scholars and astronomers speak of an eclipse known as the "The Veil of Selune". An event where the moon will cover the light from the sun for an entire day. Selunites can be seen revelling in this glorious event filled with songs and events honoring the Moonmaiden, while the more pessismistic are fearful of the Nightriser Menace which looms over the Colony...
