Second thought.

Things like this (the OPs suggestion) actually already exist IG and  could prolly be replicated through IG methods, if one were to determine  them. However I wont say any more on that subject.

As for the wilderness being wilted, I honestly believe that druids and  the nature folk should be the most at risk. They caused the disaster,  their magics are the source of the corruption, their world is  presently  under attack, and anyone fighting the withering should be obviously inflicted by it. Its part of the horrific charm.

imo, dont get healed, wither. And if you really want to relax and talk, hang out in the mist. The mist has a natural world all around it, your skin doesnt crawl, and it has need of druids too.

Do Wilderness PCs have an easier time gathering gold? It seems so.

Does it always make sense for Wildlings to do muggings to attain said gold? Debatable.

Are wilderness PCs supposed to have these kinds of problems and hardships? Absolutely.

Does any of that have much to do with the suggestion? Not really.

Here's what it comes down to:

Using Herbalism to brew herbal tea makes IC and IG sense.

Wilderness PCs gathering what's needed for the concoction rather than simply paying for it, also makes sense.

The suggestion has merit. I don't get why everyone's always shooting down everyone else's ideas with the same old crap every time.

Thats what you get for living in the forrest, you damn dirty savages :)

Wait.

Wilderness PCs have an easy time getting gold?

WTF?

Or am I to assume you're suggesting that every wilderness PC should be dependant on mugging people to get their income, and that they are inherently mechanically superior as to get it done easily? That's retarded.

Especially because all I ever see people do is complain about how wildlings are ganking people all the time.

Hmgh, Stargazers have it harder, this is true, but when I played one, I had to hit Vrazdn every reset in order to get the funds for withering removal.

However, there are measures being taken by the DM crew, so this thread is moot now.

Next reset:

A substitute to gold for getting the Withering cure.

A hidden altar to Malar for non-good rangers and druids that wish to hunt.

Those both sound like great additions. Makes me want to get my druid on someday.
