Seeking Concept, Partner or Group

These last few weeks, I've gone through numerous concepts. My characters seem to have been dying far faster than what is "normal" for most. Deaths I certainly earned, though I kind of wish their stories had played out just a bit more, that I really could have gone out and done something worthwhile. Kind of the way it has always been with me, I suppose. I aim too high and shoot too soon (taking on Conclavists on day two of my recent Stargazer, for instance... not smart), and I find myself with two choices if I want a character of mine to actually live for more than a week.

-Stop going out there like an 8 wis barbarian and taking on everyone on the isle who is in the way of my character's goals.
-Find a group to go out and take everyone on the isle who is in the way of my goals with me, like a horde of 8 wis barbarians.

I'm not keen on the first option. I've never been one for sitting back and letting things play out (not that I've ever succeeded in anything noteworthy, either), nor have I ever had the patience for politics or mercantile. I want to go out there and do stuff.

So what I would like is some ideas, and preferably one (or more!) people to join me in going out there and actually getting shit done, or to let me in on their concept. I want lofty goals with possible long-reaching implications for the server in the event of success, and people willing to pursue those even if it means their characters risk dying.

Valo for what it's worth I always enjoyed your playstyle -- the willingness to take risks and be ambitious in general...I hope you don't change it up in that regard. My advice would be do more of the same, eventually you'll figure out the method submerged in the madness.

I highly advise toning it down a bit. I've noticed that you've been going all out, and that is great- but sometimes if you aim for longevity you need to take time to build up meaningful allies and know when to duck your head.

There's a difference between being ambitious and putting way too much effort into something that's not likely to turn out in your favour. Attacking Conclaves on day two? Thumbs up. Dragging out a fight when it becomes clear you can't win it? Eh.

A little bit more moderation couldn't hurt.
