Annabelle Thunderfist

Greetings ye who hold the knowledge…

I am Annabelle Thunderfist… I come from a hard-core PvP server with little or no roleplay.
This is my first RP server…

I put in my application for prestige class ShadowDancer, but was denied for several reasons… the main being “what are my defined goals”…

I thought my defined goals were the strongest part of my application, so obviously I need some guidance… :???:

Plez shoot me a PM if you’d be willing to “coach” me a little and bring me up to speed as to what is and isn’t important here…

  Thanks…

  At your service,
  Annabelle

1. Thunderfist is an awesome name.

2. apps can be tough, and you happened to app for one of the hardest PrCs to get here. If you have app questions, feel free to send me a PM and I'll help as well. If you are new to EfU and RP in general, I would offer to play an enjoyable normal race character to "get your sea legs". You'll catch on quick, have fun, make friends, and get to know the setting all at the same time.

Pup

Feel free to PM questions to me on these forums (my preferred method) or send me a tell IG to Rovan Meyer (if I can manage to get healthy enough to play).

Most everyone here is happy to offer help to new players, so don't be terribly shy about telling people you are new.  The Core Playerbase is ridiculously helpful, polite, and good sports.
"So what else is on your mind besides 100 proof women, 90 proof whisky, and 14 karat gold?"
"Amigo, you just wrote my epitaph."

"Maybe there's just one revolution.  The good guys against the bad guys.  The question is, who are the good guys?"

I'm usually lurking about IRC and always more than happy to help out players when they need it.

You picked one of, if not THE, hardest of the PrC's to get approved.  When creating an app, you need to think about how will I make this X (PrC, race, what ever) different than any others they have seen.  How can I make it fun for me and very importantly others.  What about this character makes the PrC, race, class what ever, necessary?

Those are just some of the things to think about when writing and App for a PrC or race.

Faction App's are generally easier as you have an idea of what the Faction is about.

Any way, I'll stop rambling at ya.

Drop me a line if ya want.

ah... not really new to roleplay ;)
I began playing D&D in 1977 and have DMed ever since... still hosting a weekly PnP game.

I created my first Swords and scorery computer game (in Basic) on the Commadore 128 with sound... (my background in COBAL)
much fun at the time...

When NWN came on the scene, I immedialy began building Mods for us to play over our lan...

I even built a Mod in NWN2 and posted it on the Vault for others to enjoy... but I never really liked NWN2 that much, so eagerly returned to NWN with the 1.69 release and the awsome CEP pack

We live in ulta rural western NY... many of our neighbors are Amish folks...
so were unable to begin online gaming untill about four years  ago with the satilite provider Hughes Net... slow and laggy
but at least we could game online...

We began our online experience on the PvM powergamers world of Eternal Destiny (SharaCurves)... We formed the Fury Guild (MOm, Pop and three sons) after a few months I was recruited to built a high level epic run (The Rise of Lord Rott) and ended up also building several stores, along with the Fury Gild house...

Now with some experience under our belts, we were ready to move on up and in the spring of 2010 we found Neversummer4.. a PVP paradise... as luck would have it a guild house was empty... we jumped through all the hoops and soon established a new Fury Guild in the violent world of PvP...

I built our new Fury Guild house along with the Fury Fight Club "pit", an areana for team combat...
much fun indeed!

But While the rest of my family is quite content in the PvP world of Neversummer, I really perfer heavy role play along with my mindless slaughter... soooo...

here I am... :D

Welcome, i would advise playing non-app classes while you get use to the setting and DMs can get to know you a bit.

I'll try to elaborate a bit.  Shadowdancer is a PRC that is very difficult to get approval for, much less earn it.  I can't recall a single PC that has ever earned it, though we do have a few who have been approved to try and earn it. What we have to be convinced about in every application is that:  A.  Your PC has a unique take on the Shadowdancer class.  And B.  That you will use HiPS in a stylish way that befits the concept.

Here's the reason.  On a low level world like EfU, HiPS is just too strong.  A good enough PvPer would be impossible to defeat and kill with it.  Thus we need to be convinced that we're giving it to someone that won't be just using it to crush someone in PvP or be unkillable.

And then there's C.  Rock out, and show us that your PC is awesome, so that we want you to earn it.  Involve others in your goals.  Take some initiative to do things that don't require a DM to be present.

“Now, I understand completely”, Anna smiled to herself, stopping to watch a small spider devour a cricket.

Supper over, the little spider darted away and the curious little Hin looked around to see that her companions had traveled far up ahead… out of sight…

  “Hey… wait up!”

Anna has been redesigned and is back to lvl 4…

Thank you all...
