I do the prelude quest and often forget to "complete it" via the placeable afterwards. I think it would be helpful for a little yellow text message to come up in the combat log if you walk away towards the portal while still "taking it."

The placeable to end the quest gives you a message that, the first time I took it, I thought was telling me I had closed the quest. If i hadn't checked my journal the first time I did the prelude, I would have left the quest open, too.

Would it be possible to simply make the placeable for exiting the quest also complete it?

What about if the portal trigger to Sanctuary could also act as a quest closer?

Howlando

We tried to have it set up so the exit was the quest closer but that didn't work as it triggered some kind of anti-cheat thing. So rather than re-write the quest system I think we can just go with the easier way of having a better reminder.

We work with what we've got, friends :-)

Why not just put the transition and quest-giver separate, like every other quest?  I'd imagine that'd remove a lot of confusion as well.

Pup, they are already seperate.

If someone forgets, they can be pm'd to log on OFF for 15 -30 seconds or so and it'll auto clear the quest for others to enter.
