Could the Player Cast version of this spell reduce the XP loss of such dramatically?

Instead of loosing 1/6th of your xp, can you loose only 1/9th if a ~Player~ casts it?

Since it is obviously a much bigger deal if a player casts the spell than getting a candle from an NPC for a measly 1500 gold.

I think it's a big deal anyway. The Candle is a convenience, the Cleric is awe inspiring.

1/10 XP penalty for Cleric 1/10 XP penalty for deceased imo

Not like this happens often exactly though.

And this'd make it happen even less I expect.

I agree with you and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

Punishing the cleric is just stupid. Remove curse acts as a bottomless pit of experience as is.

You also need a diamond, and since there is no reliable way to get a diamond beyond a certain drop, I do believe this is warranted!

Raising the dead is the most important thing a pc cleric can do, I already think its amazing enough that we are allowed to attempt it, and I think its fine the way it is in all honesty. Making things easier doesn't feel very much like EFU, and to raise someone is a reward in and of itself and the exp ration doesn't mean much.

Just my two cents.

Ruins Trekker

Well, in nwn it is the most important thing a pc cleric can do. In pnp clerics of the same level can transport themselves and allies between planes, walk on air, create massive ammounts of food and water out of nothing, have a direct conversation with their god and other such magnificent things which we can't do in nwn! Nwn clerics seem boring in comparison huh?
