Self explanatory suggestion. Neither of these items seem available from Elder Nermann. Seems like they would be some things regularly available in the Ark.

I fully agree that this seems reasonable, but those looking for an immediate solution for Nermann's odd exclusion of certain items should consult with their druidic allies about alternative sources.

Yes, there is an alternative I am aware of. Just seems like something that could be available in the Ark.
