Simply a ship sailing along the coast of the Dark Lake. Transition is changed once per reset; group player spawns on the ship and by dialog can choose which port/lake to come ashore. A rowboat is created at the spot and is used as a transition to go to and fro the ship(reset on reset/not persistant). Another idea is an underwater entrance. Note: Using the bigger ship model would be cooler =P

Lairs are a great idea to give player groups power to create conflict and intrigue without so much DM aid. A pirate ship could be great for raiding across the coast!

Just an idea!

If a pirate ship lair is implemented, it needs a way to "see" if someone's sailing, and try to be able to board the said ship...

Treasure map, obviously. A treasuremap instead of the "Hole in the ground" placable.

Or an empty keg of rum and a derelict row boat. "FOLLOW FOR PIRATES"

Why not a Pirate Hideout Lair instead?

Make it in a place close to the Dark Lake or the Canal, and the "Hole in the ground" leads to the hideout?

In the hideout there can be a boat/ship with a transition similar to the one the hounds had on the Canal in order to enter the ship (along with guardian NPCs in the hideout and other cool stuff)

Of course, it needs a Sea Hag

A maritime lair would be very cool and take advantage of several ongoing plots. Setting it up so that it can be boarded when at sea poses some concerns, but perhaps a modified version of the "captain" NPC will be a good way of showing which harbor is housing the vessel at any one time. The actual lair can be the decks below, with developmental benefits affecting the attached NPC at the pier.

Of course, lairs are meant to be created in response to particularly inspired concepts, not the other way around. While there is lots of potential for seafarers at the moment, there have to be some first!

Lets quit the offtopics. Suggestions welcome, but I can tell you this. Lairtypes are not simply build for every possible idea. More so we may end up creating one if player actually "creates" something with cool concept, in character.

Thats a good point; lair ideas are endless but not much point making them all without a need IC in the game! :)
