I was thinking this spell lacks duration though it useful in small ways.  Since taking the school focus evocation as a wizard really doesn't add much, except take away mage armor, that this spell could either have duration boosted or the blade enhanced or change weapon types if you have the school focus.  It would help a bit with defense without major change and give the focus something too.

The spell is really the "I don't have a better option" summoning, and while that is kinda cool that you can, it becomes more or less worthless quickly.

The quickest suggestion I could think of in regards to modifying it would be SF:Short Sword, GSF:Longsword. Which would at least boost the dmg enough to par with most low lvl summons.
