Marksman/Sharpshooter lvl5 Projectile schematic instead of random arrows/bolts

I'd like to suggest that fighter Marksman/Sharpshooters get a projectile schematic every rest at level 5 instead of random arrows/bolts.
This way they can focus on crafting their own consistant set of projectiles.
Currently you need to wait a long time to randomly get a useable stack of projectiles.
Both craft trap and lore are fighter skills so i think they would be well suited.

Ideally (personal preference) the first level skills +3 spot, +3 listen will be replace with +3 lore and +3 craft trap.

Wouldn't this reward be quickly useless once a player has all of the possible schematics?

I would suggest a small percentage chance (1-2%) to receive such schematics while still giving the old  ammunition bonus on resting.

It is true it would make more sense to have the option to choose what kind of arrows a character wants to craft. I would agree to something like that, as long as the +3 bonus to lore and craft traps is enough to have a decent chance to have ammo crafted. That way it won't screw characters who didn't invest in these skills because they had no reason to.

An alternative, that may be easier for dms to implement, is to simply have to roll to craft arrows/bolts after choosing the kind of ammo one wants to craft, with the most powerful arrows having a higher dc.
Most enjoyable characters:

EFU: COR
Tristan Caerfal (NG Human Sharpshooter)

EFU:R
Thomas Valentine (Human NG Fighter/Rogue)
Durga (Half-Orc NE Cleric of Ilneval/Fighter)

EFU:M
Marion Sileyna (Human LN Cleric of Loviatar/Fighter)
Atreia Kelten (Human Paladin of Tyr)
Riku (NG Stargazer Ranger)

You use the schematic as part of the crafting recipy in EFUSS tinkering so you lose one every time you craft arrows.
You will also lose some while trying to even figure out a recipy to craft arrows. I dont think projectile schematics are automatic success.

The fact that pure fighters don't have access to spot or listen has always urged me to multiclass when I'm making an archers.

I dislike adjusting this part of the perk.

But the idea that these perks lean towards being their own fletchers and using all sorts of schematics to make their own ammunition is a neat idea. Although I worry that the Tinkering crafting system is too much in its infancy to support this change currently.

Silly me.  Though I agree that the ability to choose what you craft with varying DCs would be nice.

Tinkering could be cool for this if the archer/star perks  dropped a schematic that acted as a crafting base to make certain ammo.

Or another system similar to RSD brew maybe, where you can just choose from like
-the basic elemental arrows
- arrows with + vs  racialtype
-Random stack of X  from the magical pool

and have some of those random stacks unlockable as a permanent choice above,  via loot drops or DM loot?
