Fourth Legion,

Per discussion with Sergeant Hanson (Who had requested the possibility of a contract for 30% commission to the Ashen Conclave to raise funds for the Legion in sale of surplus wares in the Garrison), coupled with the requests of Soldier Aldric Darkstone (Who had approached mineself before the Sergeant, to negotiate the same but with terms including: Either Favorable commission on historic or overly powerful items or bulk purchase on Caravaneer equimpent. This done to help raise funds for the Legion in exchange for public and political support. I have drafted a simple boilerplate agreement.

I imagine the terms will be found agreeable by all sides, including my aforementioned public support of Soldier Holiday publicly by bellows, and the most charitable agreement to cut my share of the Commission from 30% down to 15%.

Upon signature a copy in duplicate will be made available for the records of both the Fourth Legion and the Ashen Conclave.

Ashen Conclave Mercantile - The Sultan's Fourth Legion

Pursuant of the raising of funds for the Sultan's Fourth Legion of Janissaries an agreement is bound in pursuit of the following.

Primary: The surplus storage kept in the private and public footlockers of the Soldiers of the Fourth Legion and any materials authorized for sale by the rank and file, will be transferred to the Ashen Conclave Merchant Hall and stored.

Each item in question will be individually appraised by the Ashen Conclave. Items deemed by this appraisal of particular merit, age, or historic importance will be considered for sale on Commission. An example by Soldier Aldric Darkstone was Platemail from the Union of Kardeslar kept in Storage on Illul 6th, 7787. Items deemed not worthy of this appraisal will be eligible for Bulk purchase.

Items sold on commission will be sold at a rate of 15% share to the Ashen Conclave, 85% share to the Legion upon completed sale.

Items sold in Bulk will be finalized with a bill of sale before their removal from the Fourth Legion Garrison.

Items sold on commission will be housed, secured, and ensured by the Ashen Conclave.

The Ashen Conclave will through measures and means public, be it notes raised within the Store visible for customers to recognize, Bellows, or otherwise lend vocal support to the Sultan's Fourth Legion.

The Sultan's Fourth Legion will enlist no other Merchant in the sale of the surplus of equipment among the enlisted men, ensuring a growing business and partnership between both parties.

That the charitable offering of these funds liquidated may lend the Sultan's Fourth Legion a fresh sip of water upon the parched desert days when the Demon is high and the Politics of Ephia's Well stall their allotment.

Soldier Darkstone,

Our conversation helped shape much of the agreement, and I am hopeful the Conclave will indeed continue such moving forward.

A Bill of Transfer was left with the Sergeants upon collecting this first shipment, and regular deposits of Dinar are made. Once all sales are final for this inaugural batch, or we reach a point in which selling on commission has slowed and I am no longer able to see certain goods sold, they'll be returned to the Legion for donation, disposal, or training purposes.

At that point we may assess matters anew.
