So it's a while since I played on the server, I don't know if people have stopped seeing barbarian as a super overpowered class, or if it's still the case.

My suggestion, as a long-time rogue player, is to take Uncanny Dodge II from barbarian and give it to fencer instead. This is just a small, but in my opinion significant change, that might take some of that edge from barbarian that has made them a rather powerful class, but with this change, it will have something to worry about that won't entirely change it's gameplay significantly.

Themewise I also find it strange that Barbarian gets it but fencer doesn't. Fencer is the dexterity based tank that relies on dodging and finesse. It would make sense that they also were experts at avoiding those unfortunate sneak attacks from untrained peasants. Barbarian on the other hand, is the strength based bulk of meat, they may have some dexterity, but it's rarely their focus. They usually charges their foe head on. They have a lot of DR that makes them able to face foes head on, but it would make sense if that battlestyle would lead them open to the cunning sneak attack from a more honorless foe. That is after all one of the ways to defeat a foe with lots of DR. I think with the physical resistance Barbarian now has, it would make sense to give it SOME weaknesses.

edit: I realize now that I am making it sound like I think uncanny dodge II gives complete immunity to sneak attack. I know you can still take down a barbarian if you have equal amounts of rogue levels to his barb lvls. I just it makes little sense that a mostly STR based class gets this and not a complete dex focused class

Fencer already gets the good part of Uncanny Dodge at level 5.

Taking it away from Barbarian might be a neat way to level the playing field, though.

You don't get the immunity to flanking part of the bonus on EFU.
