Potions of polarization

Dunno if it's a bug or not, but just after drinking a potion of polarization, i got hit by negative energy. Is it just the negative effects (drains) or also the damage that should be avoided?

Was it a case of you drinking the potion and the negative energy was on its way or soon after hit you? It could have been possible that the effects of the potion didn't kick in right away from whatever reason (like if you try to down pfe and just miss the cut off and get held anyway) and thus you got the damage. For the effects, perhaps the potion kicked in or you just passed your save.

No, i drank the potion, then started the fight, and during the fight got hit several times by negative energy rays, or circles o negative energy.

You will be hit by the visual effect but suffer 0 dmg and no drains. Check the combat log?
Possibly, it got dispelled. Was the dmg immunity icon visible?

It should block any and all sources of negative energy damage. You're sure you never were dispelled?

It blocks like 90% of the dmg. Not all of it, I dunno why.

You were wearing something with vulnerability to negative damage so the 100% damage immunity to negative damage was turned to a lower percentage.
