This spell is supposed to do a minor amount of negative energy damage and 1 str drain on a failed fortitude save which lasts for 1d4 rounds + caster level. When used on undead the effect is instead a will save vs fear for 1d4 rounds + caster level.

What actually happens is when cast on a living target it seems to be allowing a will save for 1/2 of the damage and a fort save for the str drain effect. The strength drain also is dramatically less than the listed duration. It may not be taking caster level into effect.

You can cast this spell with yourself as the target. I use it ample times a day, and it's been confusing me, so I just sat down and cast it on myself a bunch of times over and over. It also seems to do less damage to PCs than it does to monsters, which is still pretty low. The most damage I could do to myself on a failed will save was 6, but I noticed usually on monsters it would be a little bit over 10, with damage around 3-5 if they make the save. It might just be sheer luck but still it's giving a will save that should not be there and the strength drain duration is not working properly when I cast it on myself.
