NPCs don't respond to hostile creatures in Stonehand Scars Cave

The NPCs near the front of the Stonehand Scars Cave are pretty good at dealing with wild animals, but a goblin assassin followed me in and the only NPC to respond to it was Ursakh the Treekeeper.
Past memorable characters:
