Used a magic marker to create a Summoning circle, and casted the spell "Summon Swarm" With a +1 earth reagent

The first of three summons was as expected: An Earth Elemental.

However the other two summons were my default theme. I assume the spell is trying to eat a reagent for all three summons with one casting, which I would consider a bug.

Could you clarify a bit? I got the picture, from your text, that you used a reagent and got destroyed in the first summon spell cast (As it should if it's a reagent and not permanent summoning focus). So for that reason it's normal the two following casts would not be earth if you lost your focus reagent?

If you could provide bit more details and describe events as they took place, step by step, it would help to understand the situation, and what you actually consider to be a bug here. Thank you.

Yes of course, I will attempt to clarify.

I am a Level 6 Lawful Neutral Wizard, I don't have GSF Conjuration or Spell School: Conjuration. I prepared the spell "Summon swarm"

[hide=Summon swarm]
Spell level: druid 3; sorcerer/wizard 3
Innate level: 3
School: conjuration
Components: verbal, somatic
Range: short (8 meters)
Area of effect: point
Duration: 24 hours
Save: none
Spell resistance: no

Description: The caster summons a swarm of 2-3 summons of the first circle.[/hide]

I then selected for use the "Refined Quartz" reagent which provides access to the +1 earth theme.

I used a magic marker item to create the Summoning Circle which improves all summon spells cast within it to the next level of summon.

Inside the Circle, casting in a point also inside the circle, with the +1 earth reagent selected, I casted the spell "Summon swarm" expecting 2-3 Earth Elementals.

The reagent was consumed (as expected) and then only one Earth Elemental appeared, with two alley cats showing up alongside it (The level 2 default summon).

Thanks, this makes more sense. We'll look into it.
