Lair of the Trasher King quest giving NPC abandon quest script

We were waiting for another group to finish. They could not and one of them (without a token) talked to the NPC and canceled the quest. We stood nearby, without any active quest entry, but it added the abandoned quest entry into our journal, so we could not go ahead and take the quest.
