Perk bonuses not refreshing after death

The team is probably aware of this on some level, but it was too big a thing to ignore,

On a DM event, my character died, and took a diminished but still significant XP dock, losing a level. She is a level 8 sorceress with the Stalker perk. After getting raised back into life, I died a second time, largely, I feel, because of the perk's invis every ten rounds 'buff'.  I nearly died a third time, being brought back from stabilized -5, because other characters, by accident, were right next to me as I got blasted with a lot of AoE damage, and fell back into negatives. So, yeah, pretty much what the title says, perk bonuses and statuses don't refresh on death, even when stuff is being lost, not gained.

Maybe I'm being a bit salty 'cause I died twice, but I swear the second time it wasn't my fault >_>

First of all.

What character?

Secondly, what do you mean not refreshed? What should have been refreshed or should have happened in your opinion?

Specific concrete example of what is in your mind helps me to check in things, otherwise I am just guessing and I rarely have time for that so I will just move onto more concrete matters first.

Hi, Paha, gonna try and make it a little more clear:

PC name: Yrna Aalsien - Level 8 sorceress with the Stalker perk.
Stalker has the following bonuses at level 8:
Quote

  • Permanent Invisibility - Every 10 rounds, if the PC is not already invisible, the effect "Invisibility" is applied to them automatically. The PC may not switch this off.
  • Skin irreversibly becomes ashen in tone, even if Level 8 is lost.

Issue: Character died and lost level 8, but still had the invisibility effect applied to her as a level 7 character, every ten rounds. This only stopped after resting.

If it helps, you can generally reset perk bonuses by using the "reset perk bonuses" option in the perk selection menu.

This I *think* will update your perks when you gain/loose a level to alter the bonuses you get up or down appropriately, without needing to rest.

What Dredi said is correct, yes.

But yes, it's true, it's bit archaic how the system activates/resets, mostly because of simplified setup. It could be better and worth probably revamping at some point but I won't promise anything on the fly.

I might do something related to level/losing levels and so on.
