The god Chauntea didn't work for my eleven druid (even though hes alignment was correct) it had to be manually fixed by a dm

If you change your deity on the starting area, you need to relog for the spellfailure to be removed.

I have found that the only surefire way to make sure you don't have spell failure is to fill in the deity field at character creation.

I think I did that and it still didnt workit was saying I couldnt use the god because it wasnt appropriate even though I was in alignment and such

Paha

It tends to happen that you get tagged with spellfailure if you have wrong settings on creation.

What do you mean? I didnt pick her in creation if I understand you right... I selected her in the god menu in the starting area

Now, I'm neither Paha nor proficient in the toolkit, but I believe he was trying to explain that divine spell failure is a permanent state that is applied to your character on creation if you did not put a valid entry into the deity field.

Using the selection menu in the starting area does not always clear this state.

It seems this has happened to me! LiAIH4 tried tinkering with it. He tried all sorts of things. At best he was able to make me able to cast spells, though when I logged out that got reset and it stated that my god wasn't valid for the class. Even Silvanus was registering as not valid for a druid when he changed it with magical DM powers.

However it was fixed for Colin needs to be applied as well.
