Withering appears to be accelerating rapidly?

I know roughly when I hit stage 2, I noticed the message when it came up and tried to clock it, to estimate how quickly it was accelerating.  Roughly 3 real life hours of time in game later, I hit stage 3.  During that time I had one remove curse cast on my PC, for what it is worth.

I am pretty sure this is a bug.  I never experienced anything like it advancing this quickly in EFU:M, even on characters who lived outside of the Mists.  Prior to the recent festivities, I had a Withered PC in EFU:R and I never had it accelerate nearly this fast.

Could anyone look at the script to see if it is functioning properly?

I heard some people also talking on IRC about remove curse items causing some sort of error as well, or a divide by zero error, if anyone can add details on that?

I thought even the first stage ended fairly fast. Admittedly, a lot of time back in EfU: M we spent in safe areas when we could.
