I have a -2 con belt that on a respawn after death causes me to bleed out. This has happened a few times.

Ah. I think I can explain that. You spawn with 1 HP left, then the equipment goes on. When the belt equips, it recalculates your HP to be 1 less per level as you have reduced CON. Thus you get kicked into negative hitpoints or at least rounded down to 0 HP. Either that or it calculates how much damage to deal based on your max HP in the Fugue, so when you respawn it deals too much Damage to merely reduce you to 1 HP. It's not the belt per se, it's the CON drain. Yeah, I thought this out carefully as I have a -2 CON item too ;).

I'll bet a DM could fix this by having the amount of damage to deal fire only after everything equips. For now I'd suggest telling a friendly PC to loot the belt off your corpse before you spawn

Egon nailed it. I experienced something similar as well that might need a touch up to fix. When you have a con drain and are knocked out (zero hp, this could also happen if below zero depending on character level), if the con drain wears off before you stabalize you will be bugged and prone, unable to move, when you regain health.

Example, adventurer is level 4, and has 10 con and 40 hp. Even numbers are good. They are weak and fighting, and something makes them take one con damage. Their maximum hp drops down to 36. The enemy smacks them and drops them to 0 hp, then they pray for stabalization to heal them. Con drain wears off, character is back at 4/40 hp, but can not stand up or take any actions, stuck there on the ground because the script is stuck inbetween: it has yet to get a stabalization roll so cannot stand, however, because they are not at 0 or below it will not roll at all to begin with.

I'm sorry for cluttering this Mucka >.< Just similar death related issue due to negative con modifiers, so seemed fitting.

Nah it seems pretty spot on to what happened. Equip while full health and then bring down to one hp "seems" the easiest solution.

My message was quite short so I'm at least happy that someone managed to decrypt it. xD
