I appear to be crashing the server

I would not be reporting this if I wasn't reasonably certain about it. It's so damn weird, but here is a chat log that more or less proves it:

Quote[Witchcraft] Kellyn Carter: [Tell]  the server has crashed the last 3 out of 3 times we've opened a barter screen
Doatelu Robal: [Tell]  Hahaha
[Witchcraft] Kellyn Carter: [Tell]  oh wait the

[The Samophlange] Doatelu Robal: [Tell]  Round 2, FIGHT
[Witchcraft] Kellyn Carter: [Talk] Let's try this again.

So far every time I open a barter screen with Agent Doatelu Robal to trade scrolls the server crashes. This has now occurred four out of five times. The only time it has not occurred when we were using the barter screen together is when we were trading a non-scroll item which is also a spoiler.

The second time it happened Howland had asked if anyone was doing anything strange when it crashed. I initially reported this to him then in IRC out of an overabundance of caution. I specifically told him that I didn't actually think we were doing it, I was only telling him just in case.

"Just in case" appears to have been the case. I am now 90% certain we were doing it. From a troubleshooting point of view, the above chat log seems to me to be ample demonstration that we can faithfully reproduce the problem.

I should also note that this first occurred before the most recent hak update.

We tried trading the scrolls by placing them on the ground. The server crashed again when we picked them up.

We tried a final time by trading through another player (thank you, feel my steel). That time it worked.

The scrolls in question were Knock, Cloud of Bewilderment, and Owl's Wisdom. The final time, when the crash did not occur, the Owl's Wisdom scroll was gone, having been eaten by the previous attempt at placing the scrolls on the ground.
