Prelude & Plot Action

Dear friends of EFU, I am swinging back into some degree of activity with EFU. Myself and Shadowcharlatan and the rest of the DM team will be focusing some attention over the course of the next month or so to a plot that begins with a very strange incident involving the bothersome Nebezzdos Ziggurat Portal. In essence, an entire class of apprentice wizards from an arcanist's school located in Waterdeep has been simultaneously transferred to the Ziggurat. These apprentice arcanists will be played by anyone interested. Ideally each player's character will represent a different "form" and style of magic, so for anyone who wants to try an unusual or unconventional kind of wizard should consider this an excellent opportunity do so. All PCs will receive some basic flavorful starting gear. No application is required to join this group; however your concept must be discussed and approved by a DM with a conversation over IRC (or, if necessary, forum PM - but keep the PMs concise).

This prelude group will be gently steered towards the Conclave. Entrance into the Conclave will require application; and likewise Consorts would be useful… so people interested in this plot might also consider making a potential Consort.

I encourage anyone looking for some fun to consider this prelude and plot as an opportunity to get involved in something fun. Naturally, existing PCs will be able to get involved in the plot as well.

The prelude will occur on Wednesday August 8 15h (3:00 PM) GMT. Please double check what time you are in relation to true GMT, bearing in mind daylight savings time, etc.

It's fine if you're in the group but can't make the prelude, just see either myself or ShadowCharlatan to get started with some special gear and begin when you're ready. The prelude quest  itself won't be anything special, so don't stress if you won't be there. The good stuff comes later.
