My Ring Disappeared [The Bandit's Ring]

I equipped a ring, I could see it but it was greyed out, and could not be unequipped or examined. I relogged and the ring was completely gone. No trace!

It has not been reimbursed, do I just lose the ring like that? Kind of unfair, it's one of the few good items I've found!
