Potions Getting Rearranged for No reason

Seems to be after resets possibly.

I very  meticulously arrange my potions on the first page and I have noticed several times now they are getting scattered all over for no apparent reason (not the case of death, subdual or anything of that sort).

Unless there is a very mean DM messing with my OCD potion arrangement, this seems to be a bug.

I am pretty sure we can't much affect how nwn as a system loads up inventory information and lines it up. I am not sure how it reshuffles your inventory page, but maybe try to put them to other page or if it's full, not have it so full?

So, if it's a bug, I got not slightest idea how to "fix" it. Don't even remember it happening to me, ever.

Black-Forest

As a mimc, I have.. rather a lot of potions. Several pages worth, all meticulously stacked and ordered and split into smaller stacks and so forth. I've never run in to any problems with potions re-arranging themselves, though.

I think I might know what is causing this bug after considering it a bit longer.

I am a spellsword using a maul, I need my proficiency feats to equip my maul (gained from a perk). When I log out with it equipped it is unequipped and placed in my bags. I just noticed that it always gets dropped into the first page even if that space is occupied.

I suppose doing so throws all the potions that were occupying that space into randomly placed locations in your inventory. May not be fixable, but reported for future people confused by this.

Kotenku

I can confirm that Yanamar has a similar issue as a Bard using heavy armor, with the feat provided by a perk.

scrappayeti

I had a similar issue, years ago, from gear that required UMD to wear.

Corrigo

Yeah, NWN by default afaik does not automatically unequip stuff you lose the prerequisites for. So rather it might be due to the script that does make this happen? I dunno.

Paha

It is nwn. Nothing we can do about it.

On reset nwn will perform a function where it per say re-equips everything the first time you log in, and reloads the inventory and all information.

You'll have to figure it out.

Witchcraft

I always arrange my inventory from the bottom up, rather than top down. That would straighten you out. That also makes it easier on quests since you know what's yours and what isn't.

Talir

Can't be fixed, handled by nwn. Of course, you could not wear/wield whatever fets unequipped but that is no fun either. Or take it off prior to logging off.
