The new travel system for Stargazers

It works where it's meant to work and allows you to select the destination, but when it comes to actually getting onto it to travel there, nothing happens.

Well, something does happen. The script partially fires off, making the object to which the dialogue is tied leave.... Sorry for being vague but I'm trying my best to not spoil anything.

Basically, the X does it's Y action, but leaves you behind in doing so. Meaning you don't even have another opportunity to attempt to travel, given the time limitations.

For reference, I was with skrillix while he attempted to use the travel system closest to the stargazer village. I don't know if he's tried it elsewhere.
