This guildhouse / banner system has got to be one of the best innovations the DM team has come up with in a long time. It makes everything so much easier for everyone. I especially like how seamlessly the whole thing merges with Patrician status.

Based on my experience with the system so far, here's my wish list for improvements:

1. A way to copy guild tokens or give them to another faction member
2. Faction bank accounts, so that any Patrician in the faction can access the guild's shared money
3. A simple way to obtain new keys, as proposed
4. An option to remove someone from a banner faction
5. A way to pay advance on rent for one term only, to both allow guilds some flexibility as well as prevent people from parking a guild house indefinitely.
6. Some way to show massive appreciation to Mort and the other DMs who have been working to get this thing off the ground. This is a tremendous improvement over my last experience with a PC faction, and I am 110% sure the DMs feel the same way.

I was actually going to join the Armada with my current PC, but something else happened instead.

Maybe next time. It definitely looks like fun.

I have given a great deal of thought to this issue over time, and here's what it boils down to for me:

If I am making a move that could permanently end my character, I want some degree of choice in the matter.

When it comes to DMs, that friendly OOC notice that "This could result in permadeath" has always been sufficient. I have never regretted either entering or declining to enter DM-led permadeath situations.

When it comes to my fellow PCs, it gets more complicated. What I hate are the "you must die because of what you represent" encounters. When it feels like I got roped into permadeath PvP situations for insufficient cause, it's not much fun.

The bottom line, I never regret losing a character when I knowingly choose to enter a permadeath situation. That never feels like a waste of time. Some of the best deaths I've ever had came by PvP, but they were also all risks I chose to take.

If there is anything we all agree on, it's the fact that we don't all agree on how hardcore things should be. I would like to see the playerbase adopt a standard custom of courtesy when thing escalate to the FD level, even if it's nothing more than an OOC tell consisting of "hey ur gonna die LOL."

For me, this isn't something the DMs have much control over, it's just a question of communication.

In the meantime, the key is to maintain a constant temperature in the environment where the card is located. Most intermittent hardware faults are caused by microfractures in the circuitry, and the change in temperature causes those fissures to expand or contract, eventually opening the circuit and causing the error.

You are not, and the only reason I didn't mention it is because I figured the DMs remember it all too well.

What makes you so sure that people aren't paying to use the rooms?

There's a nifty little meeting room in the Hanged Goblin, I'm surprised more people don't use that. Put one in that unused space Kingsman's, problem solved.

It's a different one each time. The only way to prevent it is to always use the "Close" button.

Honestly, I loved the difficulty. The boss was perfect. Let me say it again, the boss was perfect. The pitfalls of the quest fit the backstory like the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. And the quest rewards, while seemingly minor, are well worth the trouble once a PC figures it all out.

Easier is not better, at least not for this quest. Considering what it gives away, I think this particular quest should actually be as difficult as possible. It could use some sprucing up, but only in terms of filling up the dead space. Other than this bug report, I wouldn't change a thing. Just my opinion.

Quote from: Snoteye;115073Anybody for this suggestion is missing the point that a character's stats should not form the basis of your (character's) first impression of it.

When you see some poor drow PC crumple into a silver-haired heap after someone sneezes, it's not a first impression anymore.

I heartily support this suggestion.

The issue with the auto-lock was that the door shut on us (AFAIK) with no one touching it, locking three of us inside. I'll see if I can reproduce the problem next time I'm in there.

1. The Stygians and other sea-faring factions should have their own individual maritime penal systems. If you step aboard their ships, you're subject to their rules, period.

2. There should be a larger number of exiled lower houses who collectively pay Sharbonneth for the maintenance of some loosely modified enforcement of Old Port's laws. Perhaps this arrangement is based on some stipulation Senuspur would not agree to, causing them to seek refuge on Ymph. More houses yields more opportunities for intrigue. The Sharbs, more than anyone else, would have both a financial interest in giving haven to these people and the opportunity to do it, creating tension between them and Senuspur.

3. We need a very visible, very public outlaw DM faction. Seekers?
