You're thinking of dragons and other such things. Snakes don't have softer undersides, their skin and scales are fairly consistent. The reason people go for their 'necks' is because it stops them from making a biting/lunging motion, rendering them harmless. If you grab it by the tail end, it is just going to turn and bite you so it is pretty stupid to do so without having a firm grasp on the head end.

If you stab a snake anywhere but the head, it will do about as much damage as any other spot on their body except for their head. They have no real weak spots where a single strike would be devastating, except for their heads. It makes perfect IC sense, if you understand snake anatomy.

Sneak attack is knowing where your enemies are weak hitting those weak spots. Snake anatomy is such that they don't really have the weak spots other vermin do. They aren't as vulnerable as a result, meaning immunity to sneak attack.

I don't think you guys read his post at all. According to him they already do have the *I win* button.

I think having it in polymorphed form is fine, and I think the summons lacking it might be an oversight.

Something like this would be ideal. The summon gets a bit better with each level already but it is still bad. A better level progression would help, or at least a big boost after level 7-8.

Gloom Walker :  Raise the H/MS bonus to +4/4 or modify the light sensitivity for surface races to not include blindness for its effects. Light sensitivity is a huge penalty for only a +2 bonus, giving -2 ab and penalties to saves whenever you're in the sun + a chance of blindness each turn. +2/2 hardly justifies light sensitivity the way it is now.

  • The door to the barracks doesn't seem to be lockable using the stygian key
  • The interrogation room in the cells area doesn't unlock with the key
  • The bell on boris' desk doesn't seem to be sending a message to the Stygian PCs (Not Aaron Ackley, at least)
  • The 'Sit' options on the benches in the cell areas nearly all face in improper directions, most of them making the PC face the wall.

Right now a trap placed by a player will always kill someone if it does lethal damage. This makes it kind of hard to use them in muggings or colony defense since they're just as likely to kill your prey or allies. I'd suggest we make any trap a player places, use whatever damage mode they are using when they first set the trap.
