I'm confused, dying frequently is not a valid argument concerning the severity of the penalty. If anything, this is in regards to characters who do not die frequently and earn higher levels.

That is entirely circumstantial NC and should not be an assumption. Reaching the far corners of the island (with or without a DM) does not always offer you the opportunity to have you and your group return you to the colony for a raise. Many times players are at a loss when they are with a group who may not have the funds or they are in the fugue when the server is particularly empty.

I am fine with saying that a normal respawn is supposed to be costly, but I see the cost of it being to a ridiculously high degree for players that now must work much harder to earn their high levels.

I think you have no idea what you are talking about and the admin decidedly banned you rather than put up with your ill-conceived, nonsensical judgements.

Maybe you just rubbed the guy the wrong way. If you want to play or hang out in the efu community, put up with it.

I say this because we all know Howland is a fair guy, and efu is not just some campfire server. Everyone that has played here over the years can truly appreciate what this server is about and how legitimately loyal it has been to the playerbase. This is nearly impossible in a PW with multiple DMs coming in and out of the picture.

So basically:

Deal with it.

My suggestion is that the paladin should be able to use the perk to heal once per round as well, rather than wait till the effects fade after so many rounds.

I am not asking war screamer to be changed, just crusader's zeal to be adjusted to be somewhat similar. Adding some bonuses against evil would not be a bad idea.

I did have eagle's splendor up but as Howland said it should stack.

Relinquish posted something similar a while back with the same issue but he mentions this:

QuoteThe spell doesn't give the +4 charisma bonus promised by it's description, it does however seem to give the fear saves and d4 healing.

Suggestions / Reduce Respawn XP Penalty
March 28, 2011, 07:01:07 PM
The 1/3 penalty upon a normal respawn is too high now that the rate of xp gain has been reduced.

If the system put in place weens out quick progression to level 9+, the players who have achieved these levels are devastatingly crippled by 1/3 xp loss.

I suggest reducing the loss to 1/4.

Suggestions / Crusader's Zeal Perk Adjustment
March 21, 2011, 01:48:49 AM
The perk is a bit limited due to the fact that it cannot be used to heal someone who is currently already under its effects. I suggest the healing portion of the perk function on the caster/allies regardless of whether they are currently already benefiting from a previous turning.

I am not suggesting that the saving throws bonuses be stacked, just the ability to heal.

Without this ability it leaves the perk rather dull if the user is forced to wait every time the effects run out. If I recall correctly, the war screamer is able to spam the damage portion of their perk on the enemies in the area of effect each round when it is used (which seems much more powerful).

If this is not possible, I'd like to suggest the turn undead to be stacked upon rather than replaced when taking the perk. I feel weaker as a paladin with the perk honestly (mostly because I did not realize it replaced the original turn undead).
