Oh man you were just waiting for me to see the invitation for screenshots, aren't you?

For some reason I didn't screenshot all the creepy weird daddy shit. But I did catch a lot of Dear Vyrgil's formative moments...

Bossing around the Warders, and making them actually ward things...

... and then hurting them when they could not.

Using Necromancy to interrogate a deceased victim of the Housing Vaults Slasher...

Making good and frequent use of the Petty Chamber.

Performing fantastic feats of surge-- actually just killing a guy we went through all the effort of rescuing from the surface.

For the record-- as I forgot to explicitly state this-- I'm not looking for just one apprentice. If multiple people go for it, I will find some way to accommodate you. There's no real time limit on this either-- at least not until the PC dies-- so please don't throw away a PC you really like just to come bum around the Vaults with me.

Do you want to go on crazy adventures? Get bossed around by a fish witch who won't stop using chess metaphors, even especially when asked? Are you really desperate enough to follow an utterly batshit insane freak like Rebecca Locke? Are you looking to change the setting in a way that can be done entirely through player to player contact and without once leaning on a DM in the process?

Then, uh, yeah, did you ever click on the right uncomfortable OOC recruitment post! Seriously, I'm never quite sure how to do these things, but here goes!

My character, Rebecca Locke is looking for an apprentice to pass some of her precious treasures and secrets down toward, to help spread the wonder and virtue of alienism in EFU:R!

You should probably be a wizard, but a Sorcerer is certainly acceptable if less desirable. There will be less in it to start for a Sorcerer.
You should probably be not a good alignment, but you don't have to necessary be evil to start.
You can be chaotic, or lawful, or neutral! That doesn't matter so much. Please don't be True Neutral.
You should probably be comfortable with the idea of being a hated weird freakazoid, but be eloquent enough OOC to express ICly why you shouldn't, necessarily.
You might even become a thrall!
You should be ready to join the Exile Collective faction, even if Rebecca's take on it is somewhat unique and might, gradually over time, become more and more opposed to the more normal takes upon the Collective.
You should probably be at least slightly mechanically proficient, but then again, I'm really not and I do fine most of the time.
You should probably not have conjuration as a blocked school. Conjuration is important. You might even want to take a greater spell focus in such a thing, but I won't dictate your build.
You don't have to be an alchemist, as I'm working out on how to provide people with summoning themes and the like like without even touching the stuff!
You don't have to put in an application, unless you're desiring to play a weird subrace, as you don't have to apply for anything!
You should probably be dynamic. Someone who can start their own trouble and schemes when I'm not around to help do so!

If this sounds like something you might enjoy, please consider This Intrepid Path!

If you have any other questions you can find me on IRC on my name Moonlighter, though I would, for the sake of promoting this sort of thing more heavily and my own dislike of super OOC recruitment, mostly like to rely on IC recruitment for the concept. Still, I'm around to bounce concept ideas off of, and tell you how I feel about various ideas you might have.

I've been making ample use of grease and web on my Conjuration-specialized wizard! They're minor little perks for those two spells, but it feels good. I do a little bit with Melf's Acid Arrow, too, as she's very... uh, acidicly themed. Haven't noticed much of a difference for the latter, but the former are definitely nice!

Included is...

All EFU Haks up until 9/17/2016...
Hands Overrides
Every override I could get from the thread for this, but in one place instead of spread out.
Overrides to make the default tilesets and placeables prettier.

Everything should work, like none of the known issues from having the wrong haks or overrides like Mindflayers appearing as Penguins, et cetera.

Enjoy!

Here.

If you're freshly installing NWN, this is a verified working collection of all the EFU haks and overrides that is current as of 9/17/16.

To download this as one RAR file, click this button here:

Then using a RAR utility like the one built into Windows, or WinRar or 7zip extract it to your NWN Directory. If you're running off of a GOG Install of Platinum it will probably look like...

C:/GOG Games/Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition

... But your mileage may vary on what your install directory is. Just point it to where your nwmain.exe file is located, and it'll take care of the rest.

I always knew that when Dervich was around I would have to brace myself for a real grilling. Really, he deserved a crown for his wisdom in the face of the very difficult job of being a Watcher Sergeant. Despite my best efforts to antagonize him, he never quite bit.

... I know the pain of the permanent troll helmet all too well. You had it harder because teeth puns are more readily available than moose jokes. Dervich was a cool dude.

I thought I had more Khessa, but... I do have this much, at least.

I was pretty convinced he was a gnome in disguise after that time he got outdrank by a human girl.

In all seriousness: Fantastic fucking PC.

I dug for our conversation RE: The Twisting Malaise and the Spellguard and couldn't find it, but I did find Brent being a fucking badass and boxing Sinclair in the streets.

The cards always know.

I thought I had a great screenshot of our little one-on-one conversation shortly after the Collective came around, but I can't seem to find it. Ah well.

It was Brent's stubbornness that started Rebecca's slow shift from a very black political ideology to a more red one.

Curse your sudden, but inevitable betrayal.

Fantastic necromancer. Greatly enjoyed every interaction when trying to court him to join the Collective, and then the tenuous nature of the alliance that came afterword.
