Alchemy / Herbalism ingrediants not recognized

It really seems these ones ought to be included, but are rejected as invalid :
 
Nightshade
Sea Ivory
Icedust
 
Also, it seems Research Points are not deducted when spent.  My character still has the same amount after spending four, and her first one did not write to the research journal.
 
Also created a substance which seems to be a use item, but cannot be used or put in quickslot - ignore if this is intentional for some items.
