Glyph of Warding is a spell that I adore for its versatility in damage dealing for a cleric, but there are some very odd issues with it that I will list:

1 : When cast on monsters on uneven terrains or on uneven terrain, it simply doesn't work.

2 : It doesn't work most of the time when cast on flying creatures, I don't know why.

Those are the main two I've noticed. When it doesn't work, the game will simply not do anything with the ball of light launched, which is weird. I will add in reply to this topic any more problems that I find. I would really love if you guys fixed it in a patch soon. I don't mind dodging the problems, but I'd prefer being able to use my pewpew Glyph.

So, to give a concrete example : the whole Area of the Trouble in the Mines quest in the Underwood in 98 is bugged for this spell. Even if the ground seems flat, it's not by the spell variable.

In the Underweald there were quests where it worked and didn't worked where terrain didn't change much, so I feel there is some randomness to it, at least. I feel like anything cavernous can be a problem, at the end of the day, maybe with how the game treats rocky fields. My suggestion would be ;

Treat the spell as a target spell when targeting, so that it works like Fireball (Already does but bugged)

Treat the spell like Web or Grease when casted on the ground.

I don't know how viable that'd be, but some suggestions might help!

Does Glyph of Warding work at all? I was pretty sure it bugged out years ago

I always wondered if we could turn this into something else, like it works as a mini-fireball when cast normally, but casting it on the ground would allow you to interact with it and store another spell - like say Invisibility purge - to make a visible and long lasting ward which removes invis when you walk over it.
