This is a IG telling of what happens as your withering progresses, this varys per person, and should be treated as what is happening to your character IG.
 
The withering is a lich's curse on the land, that is slowly taking its toll on everyone, its power grows and shrinks due to the area in which you are, it is also rumored that there is a place where it cannot advance in you.
 
Also the withering curse takes time to advance. So when you make a new character and hear the intial message try not to panic... To much
