Royal Banquet Candle Disappearing

When you try to feed the Royal Banquet candle to a placable it just disappears. No favor points etc.

These things are mighty delicate.

I have lost one putting it down on the ground.

The second one came off the ground (from the new King's Bag explosion), so I had hopes it was fixed, but it disappeared when I handed it to someone else (after I picked it up). It just vanished when it it hit the inventory share page.
