Fisher Coric not purchasing fish?

So I spent some time fishing. I caught a lot of fish, many of them were in poor condition but I caught an exceptional Caiman. I asked fisher Coric if he would buy them, and he took 0 items. So Coric cannot identify fish in my inventory.
